The long hours (up to 55/week), working weekends, and since they recruit straight out of college (leading recruiter of college graduates every year), they will take advantage of the fact that you do not know any better. You will make almost minimum wage (in California about $33k/year) with the GOAL of getting promoted sooner so that you can start to make bonuses on your Gross Revenue (for Assistant Managers), and then Net Profit (for Branch Managers and above). The Downside is that you will NEVER have a short work week, you work most holidays, your pay is not consistent, and when you make it to Branch Manager or Area Manager, you are getting paid A LOT less than other BM or AM in other industries accross the country. Many BM in other companies can make or will make six figures, at Enterprise in CA, you will make between 40k and 90k (with average in 55k-65k/year).
Management will never be satisfied with your performance, and will always want to see you Grow, increase revenue, decrease costs, increase profitablility, increase your ESQi (customer service score), while losing employees and gaining new ones.
Difficult in keeping a structured and well trained team since most of your employees move from one branch to another every few months, and you will receive new Trainees to retrain and relearn how your business operates.
