Pros

good training program, a step to the next career.

Cons

Long hours, tons of stress in managment positions, and getting walked on by customers who expect you to pull a car out of your ass because and insurance company sent you a message 5 mins ago saying they would need one,

Pros

the people that ou work with in the branch are usually really great people and will become close knit.

Cons

hours are long expected to work and not clock in no real communication from upper management about moves, promotions etc expected to let customers walk all over you (even when they are very wrong) some upper management lack leadership skills and are really just real dicks and you wonder how they got there. (a handful of management is down to earth) pay is really bad when you start. it gets a bit better, but even when you are successful in your store you wont be making any substantial amount of money until you become an area manager.

Pros

It's a steady job that you can come into and work right out of school. It also teaches you how to be a professional, work with customers, and eventually how to manage a business with your bottom line in mind.

Cons

You work way too many hours for the compensation. There were many times that you would go weeks withouth actually being able to take time for yourself for a lunch break. They would expect you to eat while working. There is a very high level of stress because most branches are severly understaffed. Most importantly, if you did not work at one of the main revenue generating branches (i.e. a branch that is just naturally busy regardless of who is managing) then you were an afterthought to the upper management.
