Pros

I was given about 6 shifts, which helped me survive a period of time on a very basic level. The direct deposit and payday worked as it was supposed to. There was something slightly fun about it. They give you a little meal at the end of the night, and it still tastes ok, even though it's been wrapped in plastic sitting in a heater for about 4 hours before you can eat it. I scored an insulated travel mug that was left there on new years eve. BONUS!

Cons

The intake of employees (at a "hiring event" in a nondescript office in the middle of nowhere) was about a 30-page packet to fill out with social security, etc. Nobody knew what was going on. I didn't get a shift till a month after applying. They missed one of my logins and I had to wait many weeks to get paid for it. Nobody ever knows what's going on at the shifts. It's a hot mess. The owner of the company is a toxic man who operates through intimidation, both to the worker peons and the managers. I was in the room when he cussed out one of the managers and swore to her face. Someone a bit too keen on power and authority. Also, the events are not that special. The wedding setups are mediocre to boring at best. They own a cool building but their cheap equipment, vibes, and how they run things is pretty sad. They have cameras everywhere and you get instantly fired if you misplace something or take a bite of food. they did not offer any extra compensation, tips or bonuses, not even for new years eve, and texted on christmas eve to say "you are scheduled for new years eve." lucky for them, there are enough broke people out there desperate for money who will do it. But they should treat those people better. When there was no more work after 12/31/19, I simply didn't hear anything. I emailed twice, but no reply. Strange to still technically be an "employee" of a company that never puts you on shifts.

Pros

My co-workers in my department were extremely hard-working, generous and kind! Everyone went above and beyond for the sake of our clients, and were always willing to take on extra roles whether it was recognized by management or not. Also beautiful, historic buildings.

Cons

Hostile work environment, poor management that did not seem to care about the career goals or wellbeing of employees, disorganized company structure that put a lot of stress onto employees, low pay with promises of commissions that were dangled in front of us but not always realistic, extremely micro-managed to the point I felt uncomfortable, lack of proper training, no review process, money was valued over clients, high turnover.

Pros

Beautiful office and event spaces, co-workers are nice

Cons

Terrible/non existent upper management, Negative work environment, CEO is arrogant and uses scare tactics, Salary employees are over worked and are not offered realistic bonuses/holiday gifts. Only 10 days PTO which are not approved until 2-3 days before, although required to be submitted 1 month prior. Micro-management all over the place, no manager guidance, unhelpful review process, reluctant to give incentives or raises
