Still So Much Room For Growth

Pros

* Constant dynamic product changes * Hard working individuals in various departments who go above and beyond for their departments * Company growth has been immense over the last half decade * Internal marketing works very hard to provide employees with snacks, values material, and a sense of pride for their employment * Lots of growth from within (start in Support and get out of Support ASAP, or become a CSM and be part of the club)

Cons

* Unable to maintain a stable product * Delivering promises to clients without working together with other departments and product to ensure that those are fulfilled * People in upper-level director/management positions who have little to no reason to be in their positions (very smart people but not management material) * Personal life of CEO becomes gossip around the office (hard to avoid when hired employees are those he dated or personal actions are done in the office) * Confidential information is not kept confidential, whether it's sexual harassment that happened around the office in the past, THE lawsuit, competitor information, or other employee specific details that others shouldn't know * Growing pains - company can't keep up with its growth and size

Fun Company, but........

Pros

The people are the best around. They are fun and it's a fun environment to be in.

Cons

That being said, it's all just about putting on a facade of "fun". People get promoted that have no qualifications and are complete morons, but because they're best friends with the upper management they get promoted. The project management department is in shambles. Honestly, some departments are awesome while others are awful. It's like working for completely different companies based on what department you're in. Some people deserve where they are, others have no business working there. It's very inconsistent. The benefits are average. Nothing awful, but also not amazing either. Free movies occasionally. Random Christmas parties that I really don't enjoy going to. But they do give cool gifts for Christmas. The management likes to send you a Christmas Card to tell you how much they spent on letting you go to free movies to somehow makeup for the fact that their pay is crap. I worked there for years and years and still was paid crap. Work/Life balance also depends on your department. Mine was awesome, but I heard rumors that other positions you are pretty much always on-call. Also Dave is insane. Beware.

Pros

Employees are free to make their jobs their own. The managers,in general, support their employees to grow in the positions. It is a good company with excellent people. The people are the reason many of us stay

Cons

The cons with working at Entrata are pretty large. If you are a woman with Any aspirations to grow into a management role look anywhere but here. Our company has about 50 make managers, 4 female. There are about 15 male senior managers and only 1 female. she is also the only to not have an assigned parking spot. There is a leadership program that can be taken if a person is nominated......currently, only those who are already managers have been nominated, Our CEO is a giant toddler. He makes massive decisions and system changes on a whim. We are entirely at the mercy of development. Entrata system updates happen with a shoot...... Fire......then aim.... HR in the company is embarrassingly unprofessional and have no issue with telling people when they think they are wrong. The company does Not care about employees opinions of what is right. they allow clients to treat the employees and company like garbage. Clients don't pay their contract charges and the reward they get is massive credits and more free product with the arguement that it is a wise business decision. All a client has to do is threaten to terminate and the world is their oyster. The sales staff can do as they please. Many, many of the sales staff have caused the company to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars. Their inadequacies then have to be cleaned up by other departments. Their reward is massive commissions they did nothing to earn. There is a common statement shared around the office that we should allow the sales staff to throw you under the bus so they can look good to the client. Entrata aims to be flashy - Big bus, new building at the top of a mountain, but the things are matter; employee satisfaction, and respect, do not exist.
