Pros

Excellent training that you can't get anywhere else in such little time. Hands on training in media relations, lobbying, PR, grassroots advocacy, digital strategy, and fundraising.

Cons

Very low compensation, and a work culture that expects you to dedicate your entire life to the "movement"

Pros

-Flexible income. You get to keep a portion of what you make over quota. -Wonderful group of people to work with. -Great leadership. -People were passionate about the causes.

Cons

-you are either cold calling, standing in front of grocery stores or going door to door asking for money. -the majority of people you come into contact with have very little respect for you. -The majority of the money goes back into running the non-profit rather than going towards the actual causes.
