      Kind hearted and smart employees. Good place to work if you are dedicated to finding practical wonky solutions.

      Some programs are better than others. Limited advancement for people of color.

      Pros

      EDF is well resourced and laser focused on delivering results. My coworkers were some of the smartest and most dedicated people I've ever met. Their commitment to win-win solutions and science-based methods is really inspiring.

      Cons

      It can be difficult to see an actual career path there. In part, this is because people stay there for decades, which is really a compliment. At the same time, many people have to leave the organization for a while and return at a higher position.

      Pros

      Some of the best people I've ever worked around. Both kind and impressive professional backgrounds. If you are highly interested in environmental issues, this is the place to be.

      Cons

      Difficult to make your way up if you are working as an administrator. If you are a scientist, economist, lawyer or environmental expert, than you will make out just fine. People who are just starting out will want to consider getting their masters, MBA and/or PhD before making their way up the ladder here.
