I love EPA

Pros

Very supportive working environment. Our drive to serve our mission was strong throughout all divisions of the EPA. The facility even had a gym and Cafe but the Cafe was closed since covid.

Cons

Only few co-worker issues but mainly differences in personality.

Pros

Work/life balance. Pay. Benefits. Office culture. Sense of mission and pride. Collegiality. Advancement and professional development. I loved this job.

Cons

Long stretches of little work. Long stretches of drowning in work. But that is the norm for government. You will feel bored to tears and then feel overworked. But it's worth it!

Great place to work

Pros

work-life balance. organized and respectful managers. It maybe depends on the division you work in, but overall Region 7 EPA is a great place to work.

Cons

There are some knuckleheads there like you would expect with a government job. Basically dead weight, but you also get that in the private side sometimes.
