      Pros

      I worked at the EPA on a temporary contract (two years) and I found it to be an a great place to work in with some amazing people. Like any federal government agency, there were old school folks who plugged along waiting for retirement but overall I found the EPA dynamic and vibrant.

      Some stereotypical federal government slowpokes.

      Pros

      I've worked in several offices during my time at EPA and found staff to generally be dedicated to and and enthusiastic about their work. It's great knowing that our efforts on a daily basis can have a positive impact in the world at large. Of course, that varies significantly based on the office and one's role. It took a while to find the right fit for me, but I love my work more adn the sense of purpose I get from it.
