      Pros

      flexiplace, hours, etc..but almost all fed gov jobs these days offer work at home and flexible schedules

      Cons

      Senior managers there too long, advancement involves being in social clubs, supervisors play favorites, Hires family members and friends of their family, they find a way around the red tape of nepotism. Really no chance of advancement unless you know someone The IG needs to investigate the place, Bad hiring practices.

      Great health care coverage, and paid and sick leave, opportunities to move around internally to different positions in the form or short term reassignments, great to work with peers who truly care about communities, the environment and public health

      Cons

      No parental leave, changing administrations mean consistently changing goals and objectives (as can be expected working for a federal agency)
