      Pros

      The mission to protect human health and the environment is great. The work is results driven rather than financially driven. Many flexible work/life benefits including teleworking, transit subsidies, and flexible schedules.

      Cons

      Work can be driven by political sensitivities rather than the true environmental need. Poor communication between various work areas make the work feel compartmentalized and hard to get to know what other divisions and sections do.

      Pros

      Great place to work in the government. Passionate mission driven staff. Excellent work-life balance. Challenging and satisfying work

      Cons

      Highly bureaucratic. Too many layers of management can sometimes stifle progress/results but overall management gives a lot of trust and responsibility to staff where appropriate.
