      You get to work for a federal agency that has a worthy mission and is handling some of the cutting-edge environmental issues.

      Cons

      Culture and commitment varies strongly by office. Too little interaction within some offices. Young workers tend to be much more active and diligent.

      The vision and mission to protect health and the environment for future generations.

      Cons

      Some EPA managers do not allow or limit telework. When interviewing ask the interviewer about his or her policy on telework. EPA office organizational cultures vary. Before accepting an EPA job get as much information as possible about morale, workforce development, supportive supervisor environment and overall reputation of the program office.
