Pros

Good benefits, much like most med comms agencies. Some good people. Free filter coffee!

Cons

A blame culture taints this place. Rather than analyse what's happened when something goes wrong, they'd rather blame the most disposable person. Hierarchical and demoralising. Don't expect any training, in my experience. But do expect lots of coffee to fuel the shed load of work plus unpaid overtime - you get a laptop for a reason. Depends what you look for in a job. P.s. are a load of the backslapping reviews on this company a PR job?!

Very sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with Envision. We have recently rolled out a training platform that should aid in that frustration. One of Envision's core values is humility and we will be ensuring all Envision employees, including management are reminded of these values.

Pros

I got to work with some great clients and learned a lot from them. There is a lot of grass root talent in the company

Cons

As with a previous reviewer who spoke of nepotism at Envision I had the misfortune of getting stuck in the middle of the Envision senior management team. The only advice I can give to people thinking of joining EPG (particularly as a writer) is do some research about your line manager before signing up. I found my concerns about quality standards, investment, direction and work load were ignored by HR (and senior management) and nobody I turned to for help was willing to step in for fear of reprisals. I also found I was unable to move to other departments for the same reason. I became nothing more than an indentured servant. The only choice open to me was to leave the company. It's curious all the fuss they made to try to keep me there without even once trying to address the root cause of my unhappiness, even though I plainly pointed out as such.

Pros

The teams are very good and everyone bends over backwards to help each other.

Cons

Top heavy. They keep filling more and more people in 'leadership' positions, there are very few workers. Same writers, same editors, same account managers on multiple teams. Have you worked anywhere where they make you do *extra* work outside of your normal work? They do here. Employee 'Extra Contributions' are a pain! Make it stop. They are made-up activities that are supposed to determine if you get a work bonus or not. But there haven't been any bonuses, pay rises or promotions for years. The people at the top keep coming up with 'extra' work for everyone: filling complex and detailed time sheets, too many pointless meetings, many pointless emails to read - just to give the top people something to do. Hire more people to do the work.
