Pros

Great for newcomers but not a forever job. The culinary team serves excellent food, which is a great perk. For a first job, the compensation is highly competitive. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work alongside intelligent and capable colleagues, which fostered a collaborative and enriching environment.

Cons

The job was demanding with a significant impact on work-life balance, of particular note was the ddmanding on-call schedule e.g. frequently requiring 2AM wakeup on Sat morning to support production systems. The company's response to the pandemic was less than ideal, as it required employees to work in person very early. Virtually no WFH or hybrid policy (what they have is laughable) During my tenure in 2022, there was a lack of investment in DevOps practices and automation. This resulted in an excessive amount of manual labor and the continuation of outdated practices, which could have been streamlined with better technological integration. Additionally, the management style was often opaque and rigid, leading to a culture that felt dismissive and sometimes undermined employee perceptions and experiences.
