Pros

if you’re coming from another field and want to break into tech, starting here in QA or implantation is a good move. so few places will hire out of a school and working at epic has made me instantly appealing for other jobs—i think having it on my resume is why i got my current job at a much higher salary.

Cons

they don’t pay industry standard for non-developer positions.

Pros

-Opportunities to grow early on and very quickly -Impact on healthcare industry is rewarding -Always opportunities to learn more -Others are very willing to help--You just need to be good at asking for it -Most roles are understaffed and overworked

Cons

-Required on campus; <= 10 days of WFH/Remote work allowance per year -Training is rigorous; new hires thrown in to "real" work before they feel ready -Lateral hierarchy; no salary change when you take on add'l responsibilities -Previous bad decisions/bad press (Google "Leaked recording prompts questions about Epic's DEI commitment") -Not ethnically diverse
