Pros

Lots of responsibility which really pushes you to improve yourself, but it's very easy to find yourself with more work than you meant to take on.

Cons

The hours and stress levels from so many things being high urgency can get very tiring, and there isn't much you can do about that.

Pros

Overall fantastic company - Challenging work -Lots of responsibility -Great people -Great compensation -Fantastic support/resources If you are comfortable with what Epic expects from you, you will enjoy this company. Otherwise it will burn you out.

Cons

-Worklife balance - At first I thought the hours were too much, but honestly it is more the travel. When in Madison I throughly enjoyed my work and had plenty of time for other commitments (working ~50-55 hours a week, 8-6ish with a little weekend work), but the travel made me lose out on a lot of activities that I really enjoyed. Also when traveling your hours significantly increase as you are in a constant cycling of keeping up with customers (~60-70).

Pros

Great compensation, benefits, annual bonuses and raises. Cool travel perks (lots of miles and hotel points that you can use for personal travel)

Cons

They expect you to devote your entire life to your job. You'll never stop thinking about work and your happiness and social life will suffer. 90% of the project managers I know, regardless of tenure, have an exit strategy for when and how to leave Epic
