Pros

The company provides good benefits.

Cons

I was sent to the hospital twice in a week from a client. I had the hardest time with workers comp. I would make a report and they would send emails with way too many phone numbers with very unclear instructions and people diverting me to different departments in circular fashion. When I reported this to my case manager she refused to discuss with the school to provide proper training to staff and have them provide safety equipment for aggressive and large students. When I asked my BCBA for advice on handling behaviors she said she couldn't help me. I felt completely unsupported, it was very stressful, and it was 2 spinal injuries. Not to mention the pay was not worth the safety hazards that were not fully disclosed to me during the hiring process. I ended up resigning from the position for my safety as advised by the doctor.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, incredible co-workers, great flexibility.

Cons

Slowly but surely appear to be replacing previously held US positions to PH positions. 0 job security if you’re in the former camp.

Great culture early on, but not the same company anymore

Pros

Unlimited PTO, technology stipend, employee rewards/points program with meaningful perks, strong coworkers, supportive culture in earlier years.

Cons

Loss of people-first culture after consolidation, lack of transparency, weak management support, limited severance for long-term employees. I spent many years at this company, back when it truly had a people-first culture and a small-company, supportive environment. After a major consolidation, that culture changed significantly. The organization became much more corporate, with less transparency and less genuine concern for long-term employees. Despite being consistently reassured that I was valued and performing well, I was laid off without warning. In the weeks leading up to my departure, I was actively discussing career growth and development with my manager and was encouraged to pursue additional training and certification. We continued to have regular check-ins, which made the sudden layoff even more surprising. My scheduled one-on-one was abruptly replaced with a meeting that included HR, with no prior warning. The lack of transparency and preparation was deeply disappointing. The timing and the minimal severance package offered were especially disappointing given my tenure. There was very little flexibility or advocacy on my behalf. While I am grateful for the experience I gained earlier in my career, the way my departure was handled left me feeling undervalued after years of loyalty. Prospective employees should understand that the culture and stability here are very different than they once were.
