Pros

Culture: They provided a lot of events, in-house parties/happy hours, team member highlights.

Cons

Compensation: Recruiters earn more by getting interviews then by making actual placements. You don't receive continual commission for your hourly employees, rather, you get a small bonus. You are a highly valued member by management by getting 20 interviews and only 1 placement as opposed to 3 placements and 5 interviews because your "activity" is too low. Something that actually bills compared to metrics. Professional Development: Management brings on entry level college graduates with no idea about a company that truly values their employees and wants to build them into successful recruiters. You will not receive training or ongoing development. The expectation is call a ton of people and hope they are good enough to get interviewed somewhere. They try to lure people in with the previously mentioned fun atmosphere and hope it's enough to keep them going long enough for execs to collect on their efforts. Turnover: Epitec is the epitome of a revolving door. Within 2 months of my start date roughly 40% of the recruiters either left or were fired. This is a buddy buddy system so if you can get a manager to like you you have a better chance of being promoted than someone with awesome numbers but clashes with leadership.

Epitec is a performance driven company. Epitec provides incentives on activity like submittals for recruiters or interviews for Account Managers. The incentives on Placements are much higher and where commission is made. Any recruiter that consistently places 3 people per month will earn a 50K salary and upwards to 30K in commission each year, will go to Presidents club each year at a Caribbean destination, will enjoy Milestone Bonuses, Goalmaker Bonuses, and other incentives. Pros

Good people to work with

Cons

The company doesn't do a good job of giving you time to adjust to the position. They expect you to hit six submittals per week which in theory doesn't seem like a lot but learning a position & getting comfortable doing the job takes time. I joined during a time when business was slow & I still was expected to produce the same numbers as senior recruiters. You are expected to stay late & work weekends to hit those numbers. This is ridiculous to me because the job doesn't compensate employees to do so. The company needs to realize for $30k a year (about $14) to college grads isn't enough.

Pros

All recruiter are young and right out of college, happy hours, and incentives.

Cons

Fear of losing your job every day you go to work which is very stressful. At least one person gets fired or quits every week. They bring groups of training groups in that are between 6-10 people and by the time 3 months rolls around there will only be 3 people left max. They fire people in training so beware. They will say they will show you how to do something if you do not understand in training, but all they will do is show you your way out the door. They fire people like it's no one’s business. Also, they claim you will make a lot more money than you actually will. They make you work through some lunches and do not compensate you. There is no such thing as overtime. They micromanage and your every moved is watched very closely.
