Workload is feast or famine at times. Same old boys network giving tech lead position to certain people instead of most qualified.

Weird corporate culture (reminded me of high school...very click-ish) Expect to work extremely long hours Horrible networking team (multiple outages) Zero work life balance Sink or swim mentality - with very little support from peers or management

Pros

Possible exposure to newer or current technologies. Decent salaries but no work life balance. Lots of outages and critsits if you want to work 80 hour weeks. Peers are good, support each other since management doesn't.

Cons

No work life balance. Constant turnover, lost of most of the skilled and knowledgeable IT staff. IT is tremendously understaffed and overworked. Let IT do what they know how to do; maybe the environment will get healthy, secure and stable. Takes forever to get management to make a decision, get things done, etc. Policies are definitely needed but there is a time...
