Overworked

Pros

Good benefits and plenty of parking.

Cons

Zero work-life balance. You will work 60 hours a week and be told you're not working enough. Not enough resources. No training, so it's sink or swim (most people sink). It is a revolving door.

Pros

Many fun people - many friends remain. I enjoyed my clients and hope that I bought them value in the data and other services we provided

Cons

I never felt management stood up for their people. Additionally, I felt the training was poor. Oftentimes managers were not up to speed on the products and I felt I had no one to learn from.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and are glad that you enjoyed some of your time here at Epsilon. We are sure your clients appreciated your work and dedication, as do we. We also hear your comments regarding training and management support. Currently, we have management and leadership development programs to help our managers support our associates in the best way possible. We are also working to understand this specific issue so we can give this attention. In the next year, we will have several new programs rolling out for all of our associates. As more people come forward with feedback it is easier to understand, diagnose, and fix the problems. We are grateful you have done so and wish you the best of luck in your career. Thank you! --Human Resources Team

Unbalanced across the board

Pros

There are some very nice people here, and a decent handful who are trying hard to improve the office culture.

Cons

Almost everything else. Epsilon is run by the parent company, Alliance Data, and feels less like an agency and more like a column in a spreadsheet. The emphasis is always on the bottom line (which is, naturally, the necessity of running a business) in a way that can cause work/life balance to suffer. No system for comp time if you wind up putting in late night or weekend work, and you will put in late night or weekend work, that's a given. Rules are imbalanced or unfair across the office - working from home is discouraged in some departments, yet other departments (and the senior management's favorites) seem to barely log time at the office. Despite achieving Fortune 500 status, being offered a significant raise or bonus is a rarity. And as another review already mentioned, turnover at anything other than the senior level is very high, which should be a pretty big red flag.
