ZERO career growth... don't waste your time!

Pros

Good benefits. Work from home 2x/week. Matching 401k. For the most part, nice co-workers. Fun holiday parties.

Cons

Where do I start.... • Lots of office politics, and favoritism is the worst I've ever seen! • ZERO career growth..... unless you're on the special "list" and one of the favorites of the upper management, then you'll be on the promotion fast track. • Very low pay increases each year, basically only cost of living 2-3%. Bonuses are nothing too.... every year they go down! • Zero flexibility with employees changing needs in life — upper management only worried about their own reputation. They preach one thing, but what actually happens is completely different. • Cultures are extremely different form office to office. Unfortunately mine had very low energy! Upper management did not engage with employees and sits in office all day, which created a very toxic environment where nobody talks to each other.

Pros

Great money, when they aren’t trying to nickel and dime it back from you. Constant changes as they work that into your payment plans and bonuses/commissions “Mgt reserves all rights to change/take away anything at any given moment without notice”. Again they keep you on the hook with above industry standard for pay (in terms of marketing, not consulting).

Cons

Large company that often fumbles over itself, communicates poorly between departments and constantly adds recommendations to “parking lot lists” that never get addressed nor optimized. Senior Mgt is very far removed from front lines and day to day operations that it often creates more roadblocks for the team or changes policies. The worst part may be that we are often asked to breach our own code of ethics in order to increase profits quarter after quarter.

Pros

The marketers and events team.

Cons

Bad leadership. Rude managers. Constant "emergencies". No appreciation, empathy, or kindness. Talking to hr about concerns leads to further abuse as nothing is confidential.
