While we maintain a relatively flat organisational structure, we definitely offer opportunities to expand both the breadth and depth of your experience across Europe. However, new roles may not always be available. We are actively working on enhancing our talent management processes, to create more growth opportunities and engaging tasks to help our employees thrive. Thank you for your five-star review! We’re thrilled to hear that you recommend us as an employer, appreciate our positive business outlook, and are satisfied with our executive leadership. We’ve been operating in a hybrid model in our UKI offices for over two years now, and it’s great to know you find value in our policy of being in the office for six days a month to focus on collaboration and togetherness. We've developed our new office in Watford to be a great centre for co-working, cooperation and innovation. We’re also delighted that you highlighted our employee benefits, especially our private medical cover with Bupa, pension plan, and LinkedIn Learning opportunities. We appreciate your feedback on progression opportunities. We strive to create a supportive and growth-oriented environment. While our flat hierarchy can sometimes seem limiting, we aim to provide professional growth through increased responsibilities and diverse project exposure. We’re currently actively working on enhancing our career development programmes and will share your feedback with our Talent Team for further consideration.

Pros

Epson are an amazing employer to work for. Although it is a massive corporate brand, it has a real family friendly atmosphere. The people who work at Epson really are the best and care about the work and the colleagues. Epson treat their staff really well. There is an onsite canteen which provides a range of hot meals, salads, sandwiches and desserts. There are also regular events across the year. During COVID, Epson did not furlough anyone, they really look after their employees for the long term. There was a trial of agile working during 2022. From January 2023, it has been announced that everyone will have to be in the office for six days per month (2 fixed days per month where the whole team is in, plus 1 day per week which the employee can choose each week). The pension scheme is excellent and the benefits are great.

Cons

The organisation works across EMEA and your manager can sometimes be in a different country, therefore sometimes it takes time to get things approved, some managers may rely on their own country experience, so you need to culturally aware. There is a high degree of compliance in the company as the company has to comply with JSox legislation (Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley) - again this sometimes slows things down.
