Pros

Disclaimer: I work in corporate Operations, not in our datacenters (IBXs). There seem to be significant differences in expectations and culture between the two. * Pay is fair * Benefits are incredibly good * Company culture (in corporate) is really healthy, though it depends on your manager. Up to the executive level, there's an open door policy, and most of the executives are friendly and willing to talk * HR practices are steadily improving * Hybrid work is encouraged, as of spring 2023. No requirements to work in-office more than 1-2 days a week. * Employee resource groups are very active and employees are encouraged to participate * Plenty of recognition for good work * Excellent internal mobility opportunities

Cons

* Most of the corporate offices are open floorplans, which can make it hard to focus in office. * HR practices for people with disabilities aren't great, though they're very actively working on making things more accessible and inclusive across the company. * Pay is lower than competitors, especially in Operations * Operations and Corporate are quite siloed and I've heard from a lot of the datacenter employees that they feel ignored/undervalued by Corporate

Pros

Pay is very competitive, work times are flexible, people are very friendly in general, very diverse and welcoming of all backgrounds and orientations, great for pre-retirement.

Cons

Slow moving, traditional, consensus-based leadership, not good if looking for cutting edge tech, confusing hierarchy and reporting structures.

Pros

The overall GOAL to a culture is great and sucks you in. Very welcoming at first. You'll get a ton of LinkedIn invites and very "kumbaya" vibe. Pay is actually pretty great for sales if you ask for/negotiate a high base Nice offices if you're located near one (not meaning a data center) You really can meet some great people with amazing hearts here

Cons

Very caught up with "who you know" at the company. Super political. Very caddy. A lot of these people refer someone who they worked with in the past or who worked for them for positions. So if you come in taking the place of someone who also was part of this previous crew, you're chastised. If you're not immediately part of the "it" crew, you're screwed. There seriously is not leadership or management (or at least not from what I saw!). If your leader isn't new to his or her position, then they likely are going to do absolutely nothing to teach you, help you, guide you...you're expected to this all on your own or with the help of your team, who all pretty much look out for themselves. Very sad because not at all what I expected from this organization. There's a lot (and I mean A LOT) of talk about being in a safe, diverse, inclusive, place to work....I kid you not, that is not the case. And you're really deterred from speaking up because leadership will know it came from you. There is unfair treatment that is very obvious, and again, if you speak up you're considered a complainer and not a team player. You're encouraged to participate in all of the groups and volunteer and be seen etc etc, however, that goes completely unnoticed or appreciated, especially by leadership. This was very sad to me because it was one of the things that sucked me in. Also, very little opportunity for movement
