Pros

Beautiful facilities with good clientele. Clean and up to date. Wonderful employees and caring staff. Inspiration all around and great continuing education program.

Cons

As a personal trainer, you make peanuts compared to what the client pays. My tier pays $125 per session and with hourly wage I see $35 of that. Highway robbery if you ask me. I bonus structure helps, but its not amazing home unless you're hitting a high level bonus.

Pros

Immaculate fitness environment, between the gym, spa, and EarthBar. Focus on education *can* build intelligent, well-rounded trainers. Clientele are fitness-minded.

Cons

It's easy to get burnt out in the first few months because you're expected to put in incredibly long days (nothing less than double digits, and 12-14 isn't uncommon) while ramping up. High turnover rate leads to low morale (veteran trainers are dismissive of new hires until they've lasted 6 months and ramping trainers feel constantly on the verge of termination if ambitious quotas aren't met.) Pay isn't great, especially given what the company charges for PT. Must be extraordinarily sales-oriented; Yelp reviews liken the floor trainers to sharks on the hunt.

Ok: Many Pros and Cons to Consider

Pros

- free gym membership and discounts at gym - great work environment, people are generally down to earth and professional. - great place to work while in school (college and/or highschool)

Cons

- Work your to death.... AT MINIMUM WAGE. This is the biggest drawback. Kid's Club employee here: you get shucked into a tiny room with another associate with anywhere from 10-30 kids at a time ranging in age from 3 month-10 years. It is a circus my friends. Doing it at minimum wage is unacceptable. Doing it at minimum wage while being required to possess certain certifications is inexcusable. - Very stressful at times.
