Pros

You get a lot of exposure to different areas of holistic financial planning. Portfolio management, clients needs analysis, insurance planning etc. They say hours are flexible but not entirely until you’re more established and producing at a certain number

Cons

Working cold market can be challenging, so without the help of some warm market clients it can be a real grind to meet quota earlier on in career. There’s a lack of training/development for new people in the business. A lot of success comes from choosing the right joint work partners and a bit of luck. There isn’t always a direct translation from effort put in to fruit of labor seen.

Pros

I only interviewed but they do reimburse you for your SIE, Series 7, and other licenses

Cons

Super high turnover. They expect you to pay for your own licenses which they will reimburse you for after your officially onboarded. Youre not hired until theyre all completed though and they expect you complete all of the licenses required in a really unreasonable 4 month time frame. For context, I took about 3 months to pass my SIE on my own. They want you to pass the SIE, sieries 7, and sieries 63, all in 4 months. then theyll pay you a base salary of like 20k, and the rest is commission based, where you will have to prospect your friends and family.
