This is a great career for those that have an entrepreneurial mindset, want to have an impact on their community and have a passion for personal finance. This job offers a lot of career flexibility, upward mobility and a great work life balance.

Cons

This is very much like starting your own small business so you have to be willing to put in years of hard work to reap the rewards later in your career. This career really challenges you to see if you can truly deal with delayed gratification.

1. Support to get licensed. AE takes on the expenses of training and examinations. 2. Excellent support for their DSFs (developing sales force). 3. The company ethos and values are high integrity and strong but not overbearing accountability. 4. You are building your own business, so, it's a cliche, but it's true: what you put into it will determine what you will get out of it.

Cons

You need financial resources to get started. It's likely that you won't make money immediately, but the top producers do very well.
