Pros

- Couldn't ask for better colleagues - smart, diverse, collaborative, and most have a high sense of responsibility - Really excellent blend between hard-core analysis and client interaction and exposure (can't wait for travel to keep picking up!) - Casual work environment and super fun office (food, pool, etc.), but also very approachable seniors who I feel I can learn from and who want to share their knowledge with me - Freedom to learn and explore - as long as I get my work done, I'm encouraged to try out new things and explore innovative areas within the business - Market leadership position in a very hot industry - the firm deals with finance/accounting for compensation and approaches their work through efforts to automate. The HR/comp world has exploded in size and criticality given the role of human capital to modern business. Automation is disrupting finance and accounting. And the firm is the best in its field. Couldn't get better than that.

Cons

- The work is hard, but that is also why the firm is a market leader. I didn't work hard through school to get a dull 9-to-5 job. Even so, hours are not crazy (45-55) and I actually enjoy those hours. - With the firm's headcount growth, some of the people in my cohort or the ones below are just looking for a simple 9/5 job, which can drag down the experience. I know they are trying hard to broaden their recruiting efforts to pull in more top-notch talent. - Real estate prices have increased in Phoenix from where they apparently used to be. The firm has done a really great job with comp and at least Phx still isn't CA/NY level craziness in rent/housing. - Seniors can get very busy, so sometimes I need to follow-up to get time when I need it during busy periods. But when I ask or send an email, everyone has been very accommodating.

Pros

- Junior people are really nice, smart and diligent - You can advance your SAS skill - Acquire Stock Based Compensation knowledge - Know how to work under pressure and develop client communication skills

Cons

- Bad management team - this company has disorganized management system and never respects your existing. Some seniors will frequently give associates extra ad-hoc requests though it should not on their plates - Really high turn over rate - Terrible working hours ( the majority of people) during month/quarter-end - The handoff process quality is not stable. Some people are good coders, not good trainers - The executives don’t care about expanding the business scope
