Phenomenal place to grow a career

Pros

The whole team is smart, driven, and works together to solve problems. Promotions are based on merit and there are opportunities abound for personal and professional development. The company uses technology to make work efficient and maintain its leadership in the industry. The IT environment makes working from home as seamless as being in the office and therefore creates a lot of flexibility for work-life balance. The consulting nature of the work means relationships with clients are positive and meaningful, unlike many task-based accounting and finance roles. Finally, the team has a lot of fun with planned events, ping pong and pool tables, and 10-foot TV projectors.

Cons

Consulting isn't for everyone. The work is challenging at times and does not always fit between 9-5. But proactive people with good planning and problem-solving skills are very successful.

A Great Place to Start and Make a Career!

Pros

Company’s priority is the growth and professional development of its employees. It truly cares about its people and provides a lot of support and training to develop them. From day 1 the job provides a very wide range of opportunities to learn valuable skills - SAS programming, client communication, project management for many Fortune 100 companies, SBC accounting, etc. Work is challenging but rewarding. Completing large projects and solving complex problems results in a sense of accomplishment. Equity Methods has a good culture and all employees are extremely smart! Office atmosphere is quite fun and social! Work hours can get up to 60 only during busy times, but the long-term average per week is reasonable (in the 50s).

Cons

Flexibility is required; There is a lot to learn and you can grow very fast by being involved in challenging and interesting projects, but sometimes this means irregular work hours and push yourself out of the comfort zone. Sometimes calls with clients can be very early in the mornings or late at night. Large corporations have offices offices around the world – Switzerland, Singapore, Brazil, Russia, etc. and scheduling calls with international people can require odd meeting times.
