Pros

Steady pay, decent rental discount

Cons

Toxic work environment, always understaffed, rarely a manager onsite, you will be performing managerial duties without the pay or acknowledgement. Commission payout is very minimal. No incentive to strive for success in this role. Committed to working every weekend. They promoted a flexible schedule but it really means being flexible to go to other buildings. Overall zero work life balance and the overall work environment is very toxic.

We hope you voiced your concerns to either your Regional Manager or HR during your time with us, as we encourage our employees to speak up - and even offer a variety of platforms and resources for them to do so, both openly and anonymously.

-good training program with thorough training

Cons

- Does not care about residents and will not spend anything to improve the building -barely has any events and does not care about doing anything special for the residents -took away a lot of the commision and now has part of the commission through an office that is not on site -no employee empowerment, you need permission for everything through through manager/gm

We are sorry to hear about your experience. Residents are the core of our business and customer satisfaction is extremely important to Equity. We know that it can be difficult to want property improvements right away. Every year (in fact, right now is the season!), our Investments team walks every property and prioritizes any improvements that are needed. We wish we were able to do all of them at once, but balance is key. We are also excited to start back up our resident events! Covid really weighed on this and there are constant conversations about when it is safe enough to begin those full force again! Commissions are a program that we review frequently - there are things that we test as a company, and this is the time for testing a new commission format. We would love to hear more about your experience with the above and also your permission comment - please reach out to your local HR Director to provide feedback so we can hear from you.
