Upper management/Corporate show they care for their employees by holding different appreciation events.

Cons

My position doesn't allow me to take off and know my co-workers will cover for me. I have to provide my own coverage through a temp agency (which can be tricky because there is no guaranty/reliable coverage all the time with this and sometimes due to life people need to take off last minute).

It is not typical that we would have you go outside of Equity to find coverage for your paid time off- we encourage you to clarify this expectation with your regional management and work closely with them to find coverage when you have approved time off.

Pros

I love working for Equity Residential! Great culture, engaged leaders and collaborative team mates are just a few of the reason why I love working here. Employees who work hard to achieve success are very able to grow their career. I would definitely recommend someone to work for Equity.

Cons

Our onsite staffing model is a little lean, so there can be times when teams are understaffed due to open positions. However, our operating platform takes a lot of the admin work offsite so we can focus running our business.

Equity Residential offers clear direction, a competitive salary/benefits, has awesome and knowledgeable leadership, is on the leading edge with technology and PROMOTES FROM WITHIN! This is an excellent place to develop and grow your career and with the large portfolio of communities (big and small), there is always a perfect fit and the sky is the limit -- seriously!

Cons

There aren't any cons on my mind worth mentioning. Of course there are always things that can be changed and improved and this is a company that is always striving to enhance their systems for the betterment of the business and employees.
