Pros

Good people to work with, nice properties to be renting out. Large company with plenty of room for growth if you start at the bottom (so to speak). Good benefits and a nice corporate structure with healthy and energetic management.

Cons

Rigid corporate structure, no room for being an individual or creating new roles (could be pro or con, I thought of it as a con). The slack job market forced them to consolidate heavily and squeeze work out of their LC's.

Pros

Equity is up to date on technological advances and going green-electronic leases, application process etc. They spend the money to keep properties looking great. They have extremely high standards for their employees and properties which keep everyone looking sharp. Great managers and employees. They are very good at recognizing their top performers in the field.

Cons

Managers stay with Equity a very long time leaving few positions for other employees to grow into.

Pros

Great benefits. Many great people to work with. Rent discounts. Transfer opportunities.

Cons

Room for advancement/change is not easy to do although they promote that it is. Procedures and policies prevent people from being promoted (or even allowed to apply) such as time in job or your managers opinion. Often employees are told that can't or shouldn't be considered for a job because they have not been in their position long enough even if they are more than qualified. Exceptions are made for some but not all employees. If you get your foot in at the right time and play the game right, you can do great.
