Pros

Benefits are great (401K, medical, etc..). 20% rent discount for employees. Consistently acquiring new properties in larger markets creating more job opportunities.

Cons

Senior Management has forgotten that people, not computers work for them. They are all about the numbers and nothing more. You have to be 'in' with upper management to be promoted and be prepared to have your job title changed at any time so you can get paid less for doing the same job. You may be asked to take a position you do not necessarily want with the promise of something better down the road, don't fall for it. You will get stuck there. They do not care about their employees only about how much money that employee can make them. They do not care about their residents and they will nickle and dime them without a care in the world. After five years and seeing things only go downhill, I am in the process of looking for employment elsewhere!

Pros

Great benefits. Many great people to work with. Rent discounts. Transfer opportunities.

Cons

Room for advancement/change is not easy to do although they promote that it is. Procedures and policies prevent people from being promoted (or even allowed to apply) such as time in job or your managers opinion. Often employees are told that can't or shouldn't be considered for a job because they have not been in their position long enough even if they are more than qualified. Exceptions are made for some but not all employees. If you get your foot in at the right time and play the game right, you can do great.

Pros

Work Environment is fun, 401K match program, Company events. Property team is very eager to help out each other when needed.

Cons

unappreciated, asked to do way more than job description without compensation or promotion, Job demotions for no reason except Company wanting to cut cost but Upper Mangement always talks about how much money Equity makes and how much better they are doing compared to other big companies. Promotion Process is unfair because they for the most part already have someone in place but go through the interview process because they have to. Everyone is paid differently for the same jobs. A new worker with no experience came in making more money than someone who was their 5 years and great at what they did.
