Pros

During the current COVID crisis, Equity Residential has quickly responded in a way that ensures our residents and employees feel secure and well cared for. While sadly, we hear about so many people in other industries who are losing their jobs, the strong financial position of Equity has allowed employees to continue to work with flexibility, and provided additional paid time off for those who choose to use it. It's a wonderful feeling to know that during times of financial insecurity, we work for a company that will weather any storm. I am proud to work for a company that takes care of its employees and was well prepared to respond to the current crisis in our country. I know I do not have to worry about my own financial or physical well being, as long as I continue to work for EQR.

Cons

I've been lucky to be a part of this organization for 20 years- I have no cons to report.

Thank you for your time with us for over 10 years! Equity is passionate about delivering high quality customer service, and that does mean hard work. We’re sorry it seems that you did not have a good experience with your supervisor. We hope that you shared your feedback upon your departure. If not, please reach out and we’d like to hear more detail about your experience. We wish you the best.

Pros

They will hire anyone. Doesnt matter what their experience is. Doesnt matter what their communication skills are. You can blatantly disobey without any repercussions. They are constantly rewarding bad behavior. If you do something wrong enough times, dont worry, you just wont have to do that task anymore. They'll find you something easier to do. Would highly recommend if you're trying to get your foot in the door working in this field, but try and get out as soon as you can.

Cons

Managers are not held accountable. Hard working employees are not rewarded, but instead are asked to do the work of others who fall short. If you're a technician who's ontop of everything but have a manager who isn't, you (the technician) will be held responsible for picking up their slack. They want robots who do not think freely to work for them.
