A very team oriented, collaborative, and curiosity driven work culture. The engineers here are driven, helpful, and knowledgeable. I learned so much at this company! Good upward mobility as well.

Cons

Not as competitive benefits/salary wise as other companies in the industry.

Coworkers, earn effort and amazing culture

Cons

Insane amount of overtime and micromanagement, seems some managers and supervisor do not have a clue about how to lead a team but somehow are still able to have their manager jobs. It is a bit concerning HR has not taken action despite several complaints from employees. Salaries are low compared to the rest of the industry, thus only a very few employees are now making long-term carriers at Ercot

Pros

-Opportunity to learn and work in a unique electric market within the US. -For a non-profit organization, the benefits are quite amazing. -Many departments offer a hybrid work modality (typically only 2 days in office) -Given the electrically isolated nature of the ERCOT region, one gets a holistic grid analysis view unlike anywhere else. -Job security if ones does his job.

Cons

-There is a little bit of uncoordination between departments, so it might be confusing at first how it all works together. -Change is highly bureaucratic so don't expect immediate change if you have an idea to agilize a process. -Pay could be higher by the industry standards.
