      Good work life balance and benefits.

      Cons

      For at least the last few years, ERCOT salary has been less than competitive, which results in a high attrition rate/turnover. Engineers routinely leave for 50% raises to go to market participants.

      Great peers doing great work to support an important function

      Cons

      Political infighitng at the management level interferes with the ability for people to do good work. Lots of rework and emergency work to cover up an error or change in direction as managers and directors argue.
