      Pros

      There are a lot of wonderful people working for BOCES who have a passion for educating children. My co-workers are like family!

      Cons

      It can be bad if you have an incompetent supervisor. I had a very serious issue with a co-worker. (I was one of 5 or 6.) The teacher could have lost her job over the offenses. When I brought it to the attention of our supervisor, he didn't want to hear about it. Seriously?! Most places would have fired an employee like her. I later found out that he was the supervisor that gave her tenure. Very arrogant, don't-confuse-me-with-the-facts kind of guy. I requested a transfer the next year. I am now in a different school with a different supervisor and LOVE my job once again!
