Pros

Overall Esri is a great place to work if you are planning on staying with a company for a long time. The benefits are really excellent and there are people from all over the world that work there. It is a very diverse and culture rich company where you can learn different things since there are people there with different backgrounds.

Cons

The one thing that I didn't like was having to wait 2 years before moving into a new position. If the position was available yet you were not tenured enough, then you wouldn't be able to get into that available position.

Pros

Great benefits, many people from different backgrounds to work with which enables you to learn more than just the technical aspects of the job. The owner, Jack, does a great job of making sure his employees get what they deserve as far as benefits and team building events goes.

Cons

It takes 2 years before you are able to move to a different position you are well qualified for, which makes growth somewhat of a chance type of game, like Russian roulette. There are too many groups and not enough managers to manage all of its team members, making it hard for the team/lead manager to be able to review your performance.

Thank you for your many years with Esri. Support Services is often a good place for employees to start their career. After gaining technical expertise and leadership skills, their career path may allow them to grow within the division or take them to other areas within the company. This gives them the opportunity to pursue their career passion while bringing valuable skills to their new team.
