Pros

Lots of great people working at Esri. Dominant company in the market, you have the potential to have your work noticed and affect a lot of peoples daily lives. Great health care benefits. Relaxed environment (perhaps too relaxed).

Cons

Personal growth can be very slow, not much of a career path defined for young employees. Not many perks. Some teams have your typical political conflicts. Relaxed environment enables many people to produce little to no work at times.

Esri - Good benefits

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Privately held and very fiscally sound, excellent health & dental benefits, fairly low-stress environment and the leader in GIS.

Cons

Many long-timers and very limited upward mobility. No clear path to move up in your career, non-standard job titles and job descriptions and limited opportunities to take on very visible projects.
