Pros

This is a great place to work once I learned how it works. Esri has a very low turnover rate, once you're in, you're in. The company supports me to perpetuate the same position indefinitely. There's no cap for the salary of my role and I get the same annual salary increase regardless of how I perform. I don't need to grow professionally. More challenging roles are filled by newer people. Best yet, management prefers employees to not be interested in career growth.

Cons

The competition is reinventing the business model... I think. That is if making similar software user-friendly becomes marketable.

A sad and failing company

Pros

GIS really does make a difference...

Cons

Esri has corrupted into a cynical monopolistic cult. Jack runs the company using 'management by chaos'... setting Director against Director, Employee against Employee. Politics is everything, telling the truth is ruthlessly punished. The notion of a flat management structure is laughable... it's the most bloated heirarchy I've ever encountered.

Pros

they give 1 hr lunch time

Cons

Different levels’ managers/supervisors cover each other. They don’t listen to employees. They don’t allow employee doing certain things, but themselves. They don’t respect people and work. HR staffs don’t pick the phone, don’t reply the emails, don’t answer the voice messages. They review the others, but who review their jobs? They are not able to solve any problems. Why ESRI use our money to hire so many unhelpful people?
