Pros

Great engagement and benefits. They know how to take care of their employees

Cons

Feels like a startup althought its been running long. There's unrealistic goals set and a lot is thrown on your plate if you are capable. The product team keeps adding stuff and the KBs are not updated quickly enough to give us enough resources to solve something quickly.

Pros

1. esri offers job stability, they are cash rich and usually stable during recessions. 2. Decent exposure to programming experience but the technology is ancient - c++, COM and like 3. Good exposure to GIS concepts and context if you are interested in the area.

Cons

1. It may not offer competitive pay in relativity. 2. Career growth may be anemic, it's a very flat org - promotions are mostly namesake.

Pros

Very easy, lax work environment. The company almost never fires anyone.

Cons

Low pay, underproductive employees. The company almost never fires employees. Job security is nice, but some people should not work here. Esri is not competitive in the job marketplace. Benefits and pay fall way short of other tech companies. Esri's crusade against working from home has made it difficult to hire and keep employees.
