Pros

- Profit sharing is nice, but offsets your salary - Expectation of work is fairly consistent and low, but as a result, promotions are incredibly rare - If you want to show up 8:30-5 Monday through Friday in an office, this is the place for you

Cons

From the top level down, Evapco is insanely antiquated. The environment is depressing from the moment you step in the building. No option for remote work, as the management won't trust you to get your job done outside of the office. You will wear a shirt and tie to sit in front of a computer, even if you don't interface with customers. Management is so bad here and no one wants to own up to anything. Everyone points the finger to other departments, it is an extremely cliquey company. You'll feel just like you did in high school, with management openly talking down about specific employees and departments that ACTUALLY care about getting things done. As far as a software engineer's career here, STAY AWAY! You won't be promoted until half of your team leaves and they decide they should maybe try to keep you around. Technology is old and outdated, with zero care to upkeep and optimize the Evapco suite of software. It's advertised that they want engineers who "have leadership qualities and own up", but it is quite the opposite of the Evapco way. Trying to work here as a software engineer is practically career suicide.

Pros

ESOP is great Healthcare is solid (for this industry)

Cons

Low pay (they try to say profit sharing makes up for it, even though profit sharing is taxed much more…) Executive management is clueless Work culture hasn’t been kept up with the rest of the workforce. No remote work, dress code from the 60s, and industry is severely lacking technologically literate talent. Location is pretty awful. Company struggles to recruit new tale
