Pros

EvenUp is described as a "hyper-growth" venture-backed startup. This can mean exciting opportunities for learning, quick progression, and being part of a company that is rapidly scaling. You'd be working at the intersection of law and cutting-edge technology. This can provide valuable experience in an evolving industry, potentially boosting your future career prospects in legal tech or other AI-driven fields.

Cons

As a "middle of the road for VC-backed tech companies," it's described as having "occasional crazy work periods, and somewhat tumultuous organizational structure." This can mean less predictability and rapidly changing priorities.

Pros

Medical operations is hands down the best team I have ever been a part of. As a nurse, I worked with numerous team members, but the medical operations team is hands down the best team I have ever been a part of. Everyone works together in a cohesive unit to support one another and ensure that our clients receive high-quality products. Leadership is communicative and provides guidance and support in all aspects, and will jump in to assist without hesitation. MedOps is number 1 in my book.

Pros

I want to caveat my review by stating that this is not a place that is for everyone. Employees do have to be self motivated, thrive in chaos/ambiguity (invite chaos, even), and understand that this is not a scaled tech company, even though we have a high number of employees. I highly suggest that candidates do their due diligence and ensure they are aware of what environment they work best in, and assess any company they interview with, to confirm that the role/org is a good fit. Ask questions about your own "mode of operation must haves" during all interviews! -Remote for tenured employees who were here prior to hybrid move -The majority of senior leadership are really talented, who've done it well elsewhere and scaled other startups -Regular, bi-annual performance reviews -Strong middle managers; they do a great job of motivating ICs and creating a good work/life balance expectation for their reports -Autonomy when meeting KPIs (this isn't unique here; I think most workplaces with good middle managers operate like this) -Plenty of feedback opportunity. If you ask for it, you will get it. (see above, must be autonomous and self aware to do regular check-ins with your manager and share what you think you're doing well and where you feel you need resources/help).

Cons

-Founder(s) tend(s) to get in the weeds and question or reject decisions made by the excellent leadership they've hired -Some employees feel that they don't have autonomy to structure their work the way that best suits them. See my statement in pros regarding this though. -This is also standard for startups, but goalposts tend to shift without the timeline expectations shifting in tandem. This is where middle management plays a pivotal role in managing up and I have seen a shift here from the founder's expectations in recent months. -Relating to one of my pros, not all of the senior leadership is great at executing and motivating direct reports
