Pros

The schedule is flexible considering you’ll work everyday.

Cons

This works out well for some. You just have to find where you fit in. The technology could use some tweaking but it’s a startup so it develops with time.

Pros

EvenUp's mission is two-fold: 1) even-up the playing field between large insurance companies and personal injury law firms 2) even-up the disparity between the settlements received among plaintiffs from different socio-economic backgrounds. It has stayed true to this mission and delivered incremental settlements in astronomical figures via its AI-generated demand letter products. From co-founders to executives to team leads to team members, the EvenUp team comprises of great talent from Big Law, Big Tech, VC, I-banking, and unicorn start-ups. It is an incredible learning experience, where everyone collaborates to solve extremely difficult problems under aggressive timelines.

Cons

Given the speed at which it scales, EvenUp doesn't have work-life-balance. Depending on the role and seniority, expect 50 - 70 hours/week. In its defense: 1. all successful early stage start-ups has this kind of work arrangement 2. in the recruiting process they are transparent about the work schedule 3. the higher up the position, the bigger the responsibility, the longer the hours. so your boss will always work much harder than you do! 4. the schedule is flexible, so if you need to take a doctor's appointment or a personal appointment during the middle of the day, no approval required 5. 100% remote makes long hours more tolerable (yay, PJs!)
