Where to begin? They bought the company I originally worked with language like "partnership" and "collaboration" but then really COMPLETELY changed us. They have no understanding of the city's awful public transportation so if you're late because of a train delay, sorry about it, you're fired. They wouldn't let us hire despite being understaffed, then got mad at us for being understaffed. We weren't trained properly, everyone received conflicting information from upper management. We're told to ignore our boss because her job title doesn't technically exist under EN but they won't change it, our immediate management team has no idea what's happening. Our new merchandise they send for us is awful, looks cheap but triple the original cost, and makes no sense for our stores. We constantly feel like one small human mistake due to lack of actual training or guidance will get us fired. Our HR person is rude and wilding unhelpful. We genuinely believe EN is setting these stores up for failure intentionally so they can fire all of us and start over instead of laying us off and paying severance. Employees in the same job position for the same amount of time get wildly different pay, the company is extremely hypocritical for displaying values for people and workers when they haven't helped us at all, and they are quite literally asking us to take certain work tasks home. This is retail, we're cashier's selling dumb tourist tee shirts, it isn't meant to be complicated but we're treated like we're handling high security government secrets. No work/life balance, but that's a fault of retail at large so I won't blame EN.
