Pros

It's a great museum to work at. Hours can be set at your own schedule (sometimes their DayForce system has issues, so it's best to double check your posted hours). Employees get a 25 percent discount off of regular priced merchandise and, with their badge, can see various exhibits and IMAX films.

Cons

The museum shops are very sales driven, where you have to suggest to customers to purchase promotional items such as a souvenir guide and reusable shopping bags to meet quotas. Most of the management/staff is fair except for some personalities that can be catty or condescending to others (a co-worker caught two employees making fun of them in a stock room; no apology was given).

Pros

I don’t have a pro.

Cons

The management is horrible at the Georgia Aquarium gift shops, the store director doesn’t know how to work with a team. Very much favoritism. They give sales lead free parking other employees under them has to pay. Also they over work you, and does not want to pay employees for what they deserve. A new person leaves everyday. Store director wants too much out of employees.

Break Labor Laws

Pros

Flexible scheduling, although management rarely update your new availability so you get scheduled when you say you couldn't work.

Cons

Consistently break Oregon Labor Laws, no 10 minute breaks and give lunch breaks 7 hours into shift. Management disappear and expect two cashiers to handle everything. Assistant manager is on his phone on the floor entire shift. No support for employees as they only care about money.
