Pros

Solid experience for future opportunity in industry. Family-owned WI business. M-F hours with some additional early morning and evening hours during summer and fall. Many long-standing customer relationships, and opportunity to build great relationships with field contacts.

Cons

Lack of flexibility to accomodate for busier periods during summer and fall, and slower times in winter and spring. High turn-over in many customer service roles. Unscrupulous hiring/firing and employee relations practices.

Pros

Everbrite offered some neat perks such as celebrating Customer Service Week, grilling lunch on nice days, 2 paid breaks, etc. Many of the people in the South Milwaukee office were very cool and helpful while others were not. If you're into signage and electrical, this is a good position to learn all about it. Flexible with paid time off requests. Hour long lunch and close to places to get errands done.

Cons

Lots. Let's start with the fact that a CSS is doing A LOT more work than they are paid or recognized for. You are essentially an Account Manager of your own projects which are often times way more involved than just entering an order. You have to like research and problem solving. You will spend a lot of time looking through the creepy old files where there are actually spiders everywhere. It's not out of a horror movie, I promise. Not only that but you often have to jump through hoops to get the answers you need from Engineering and higher ups. The waiting game results in customers getting very impatient and angry. I couldn't handle that kind of stress for the pay. Hard to advance, even to Account Manager.
