Good Benefits, Generally nice people, decent pay

Cons

Narrow minded HR dept as well as dictator like "micro managing" VP's. In bad times, they have shown a complete disregard for hard working employees. This past Feb they laid off approximately 10% of the workforce completely by surprise. No warning, just a quick "see you" and escorted out of the building. Then, a week later, they dole out promotions to a large group of people and promote the "fireing" Vp to Senior VP. No class.

Pros

Reinsurance group a cash cow so financially strong. Little in the way of legacy systems to overcome in the insurance side of the business so with the right plan they can move quickly. Some really good and caring people.

Cons

Came in thinking I had found my dream job, with Sr. Leaders who seemed to understand what it would take to transform. New ex-Chubb leadership team came in and fired EVERY ONE of those leaders. Even the CEO departed. New leadership is bullying their way through the organization. Be very careful... this is a very toxic environment.

Competitive pay. Larger company with multiple career paths.

Cons

Company has lost its soul. Run by a bunch of heartless jerks that do not care about people and think everyone is just a cog in a machine that can be replaced easily. To get ahead, you must have worked at Chubb or AIG... and be a total jerk.
