Left out in the cold.

Pros

They give you a paycheck, minuscule as it is.

Cons

When you get hired, they make it sound like a great place to work. Once your orientation is finished, that is all you get. They do NOT communicate any information to their employee. Employees are left out in the cold and never notified of an programs, benefits, or special programs that are available. It feels like you are put in the corner and left alone. A very unfriendly company for its employees.

Pros

Flexible schedule and that’s about it

Cons

Low pay Tons of drama People get promoted based off of who they’re friends with, not how much experience they have so you get managers fresh out of college who have zero previous management experience and have no clue what they’re doing, leading to zero organization No one knows how to communicate. I’ve never worked for a company that has this bad of communication skills. Literally no one communicates leading to tons of confusion Management picks the weakest link to pick on and tear apart Certain people are allowed to take three 30 minute breaks a day and not take it out of their time sheet or have anything said to them. While others were yelled at just for taking one 30 minute lunch break per day Lots of favoritism Don’t be surprised if you get pulled off a project or demoted without any logical reasoning Don’t be surprised if your manager cusses you out and accuses you of illegal activity If you have a disability then good luck because no one at this company takes is seriously and they will do absolutely nothing to accommodate you and will instead turn it into let’s treat them like crap and guilt trip them for asking for a reasonable accommodation under the ADA Management is extremely two faced don’t trust them Project manager will make zero effort to get to know you then only talk to you when you’ve done something “wrong.” Prepare to constantly feel like you’re walking on eggshells due to the lack of structure and hostility from management Don’t ask your manager a question unless you want to get yelled at or an answer with an attitude Good luck on trying to make suggestions as management only listens to suggestions from their friends Don’t work here if you have serious allergies or asthmatic. Dust is out of control from construction. I complained a couple of times and was told I was “complaining too much” people constantly get sick Serious roach problem that no one in management seems to care about nothing was ever done Zero logical reasoning or common sense is used Don’t be surprised if management retaliates on you for asking for a simple accommodation request (they claim they have a no retaliation policy)

Pros

Pay was good, but that's about where the story ends.

Cons

Friend of mine was looking to make a career change and we had an opening that he was very qualified for. Took him over a year to even get an interview despite meeting or exceeding all qualifications necessary in the job description/requirements. At one point, they contacted him to set up an interview and he gave them my best available times. The lady said, "ok I will pass this on and see what we can do to set up a time that's good for you to come in." Never heard from them again. Tried calling back several times. Left messages. Nothing. When he told me about this I asked the hiring manager what the deal was and his response was "sometimes things change and we go a different direction." I said, "ok I understand that but it's common courtesy to let people know when that happens so they aren't waiting around. Plus it reflects poorly on the organization." His reponse was "well when you're an adult you should realize when something isn't going to happen and move on. I can't hold everyone's hand." I was shocked to hear this because it's one thing if you apply for a job and don't get a call. But it's another when you get called for an interivew and it's never scheduled and you're never notified the position is closed. I was openly critical of management after this and that got me nowhere. I left the company just over a year later.
