      Pros

      The Technology is quite competitive

      Cons

      Gossip, favoritism, gender-bias, bad behavior, and self-advance mentality are the norm. HR either ignores or feeds these behaviors that are consistent among long-serving employees. Those who want to make a difference and speak up either are pushed out or leave, which is exactly what I will be doing soon.

      Pure was great, but then it became yet another storage company

      Pros

      Great base and bonus. Don't rely on stocks though

      Cons

      Was a great company, not anymore. Some say it's the growing pains, but it isn't and here is why? Pure no longer values it's orange culture. When u hire people from legacy storage companies and they bring more, then quickly your company becomes another legacy storage company as well. That's exactly what's happened to Pure. In fact, few years ago job reqs would encourage non storage people to apply to bring their fresh perspective - not anymore. Also treat people as commodity. Letting go of people the week after big event - same folks who had worked hard to make it successful, is beyond appalling.. It's so unfortunate what this company has turned over the last 2 years

      Get connected or get forced out

      Pros

      - If you're related to someone at Pure you have to do almost no work and you're guaranteed to get a promotion - Subsidized lunch 3 days a week

      Cons

      - This place is NOT a meritocracy. Don't believe the hype they sling at New Hire. You need to be connected to get anywhere in this company. - Diversity of any kind is not prized no matter how much they claim it is. They hire and promote as many connected people as they can and get rid of the rest. - HR and legal are spying on everyone all the time and reporting back to higher-ups on employees' "brand" - If you're connected or related to someone at Pure you can get away with anything. If not, don't so much as sneeze in someone else's direction - People who do good work are seen as a threat to the established order and you will be forced out
