Pros

A lot of down time if you don’t like doing much.

Cons

I reported them after only working there for a few months. Main take away ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL! When I worked there they didn’t have a single CVT on staff. They euthanized a cat with out proper rabies exposure protocols. They didn’t lock up any of there controlled drugs. They didn’t log any of there controlled drugs. They induced patients for surgery on a counter that didn’t even have oxygen access. They used propofol on a dog and it woke up intubated before they could even carry it into the surgery suite. The reuse disposable drapes to wrap their sterile surgery packs until the drapes are practically see through. The doctors bring their children to the clinic. The kids ride around on roller blades and come up to dogs without even knowing if they are aggressive. The doctors even had me take there kids to an eye appointment once. The doctor tried making me (uncertified vet assistant) inject euth solution into a kittens abdomen. And more….

Pros

getting to work in the vet industry flexible hours

Cons

-management treats all staff poorly, borderline bullying at times -management will scold you in front of other staff and clients very loudly instead of trying to have a discussion. -lack of work life balance -will not give proper resources for training, even when prompted multiple times over extended periods -lack of communication with all staff, if you try to communicate that’s is looked down on - constant revolving door of staff coming and going due to management and bullying
