Pros

There are many team members who have worked here for many years and are dedicated to their jobs. I was treated with much warmth from all as a new employee. That said, the close friendships and longevity of individuals brings with it some pretty informal (unprofessional) behavior and a company culture of being "set in their ways."

Cons

There were two official levels of management as well as a third, unofficial level above my position. The general manager mostly just sent emails to the team telling them to please follow up on the reports in order to meet company revenue goals. Of course, sending workers emails simply telling them to do what they're already doing while offering no support for solutions to the various challenges and obstacles is a management technique only taught at the Captain Obvious School of Business. The manager of the team was just as bewildered by his behavior as the workers are, but she seemed completely powerless to do anything about it either.

Pros

- Supportive directors and senior managers - there’s a real effort to keep everyone engaged - social activities, pizza lunches, Valentine treats etc - hard work is appreciated - lots of opportunities to move around and try other jobs if you want a new challenge - they make an effort to promote from within - sensible home working policies

Cons

- The pay is good but the overall benefits package is not competitive. Very low employer pension contributions, no private healthcare, poor sick pay. The company are working on the benefits, improvements were made to holiday allowances and introducing buy sell holiday options this year. More improvements needed though. - parking is limited on site. There is more parking nearby about 5 minutes walk away.

Pros

Good company, regular pay reviews, and good benefits. Lots of emails, promoting other positions within the larger group (examworks).

Cons

No downsides from my point of view, however, heard there is a high turnover in the call center.
